OUR STORY

HONORING OUR HERITAGE

Greenwich Hospitality Group was founded with a simple yet powerful vision: to create exceptional places where genuine hospitality and thoughtful design elevate every guest experience.

Rooted in Connecticut and inspired by the charm and character of each unique location,

we specialize in developing and operating boutique hotels, award-winning restaurants, and luxury spas that feel both welcoming and distinctive.

In 2021, we expanded beyond New England with the addition of Delamar Traverse City in Michigan, bringing our signature warmth and elevated service to the shores of Lake Michigan. Each of our properties is united by a commitment to create memorable experiences that feel both personal and timeless. We believe hospitality is both an art and a calling—one that invites connection, inspires comfort, and leaves a lasting impression.

UNPARALLELED LUXURY

DISTINCTIVE CHARM

Interior of a cozy restaurant with wooden ceilings, a stone fireplace, and nautical artwork above it. The dining area features dark wood tables, black chairs, and vases with yellow flowers. Large windows and warm lighting add to the inviting atmosphere.

In early 2025, we proudly unveiled Delamar Mystic, a coastal retreat that pays homage to the seafaring legacy of our founder, Charles Mallory, a descendant of the 19th-century shipbuilder whose family helped shape Mystic’s storied maritime past. Infused with nautical elegance and timeless charm, the property reflects a deep respect for craftsmanship, connection, and place. Just down the coast, Delamar Westport opens its doors in July 2025, offering a refined sanctuary in one of Connecticut’s most vibrant cultural hubs. As we grow, we remain devoted to our guiding belief: that hospitality is both an art and a calling—one that fosters comfort, inspires connection, and leaves a lasting impression.

Charles Mallory has always had a deep appreciation for heritage, craftsmanship, and the art of exceptional service.

After co-founding MJLF in 1979—one of the nation’s leading shipping brokerage firms—he spent three decades brokering the sale, purchase, and charter of some of the world’s largest tankers from his Stamford-based office.

In 1999, Mallory turned a lifelong dream into reality by founding Greenwich Hospitality Group (GHG), bringing his passion for art, architecture, and personalized service to the world of luxury hotels and restaurants. Today, GHG owns and operates a distinctive portfolio of boutique hotels, award-winning restaurants, and luxury spas in Connecticut and Michigan, united by a refined aesthetic and an unwavering commitment to thoughtful hospitality.
